
Extrà is an original and lush sparkling wine that blends the elegance of Pinot Noir with the grace of Chardonnay.
Type: Metodo Martinotti white sparkling wine (6 months on the lees).
Grape: Pinot Noir (85%) and Chardonnay (15%).
Alcohol: 12% vol.
Vinification: the grapes of both varieties are hand-harvested, quickly brought to the winery in perfect shape and gently pressed. The free-run must ferments in temperature-controlled stainless-steel vats. Then, the wine is put in autoclave where we add selected yeasts to start the secondary fermentation. The wine ages on the lees for 6 months before being bottled and released.
Tasting notes
Sight: pale straw-yellow colour with greenish highlights; fine and persistent bubbles.
Nose: marked by notes of yeast and yellow flowers (freesia) with hints of jasmine.
Palate: elegant palate with light citrus flavours (especially grapefruit and kumquat).
Service temperature: 6-8 °C.
Suggested pairings: perfect as a pre-meal drink, it pairs well with seafood, delicate first courses and fresh cheese.
Contains sulphites.
